"World Class Collection" LAKE & COUNTRYSIDE MAGAZINE
Story and Photography by Scott Smith
Posted April 2, 2004

Tourists and locals alike will be amazed at the exquisite collection of art assembled at the Madison Museum of Fine Art. Paintings and works from famous names one would expect to find in much larger collections hang on the walls. From Rembrandt to Dali, Picasso, Renoir, Calder, and Dufy.

Michele Bechtell and Edward Fritzi are the visionaries behind the collection. They would like to see the Museum become "The Place" to gather for parties, events and of course appreciating art.

The Museum will be holding an Afternoon Reception and Dinner on May 15th to benefit the collection. The reception will be held at five private residences followed by a dinner and preview of the Tea Terrace and Sculpture Garden. Tickets are available by calling 706-342-8320.
