“Remarkable - what a tremendous find- tucked away in History.”
C. Wesson and Howard Patton, Decatur

The Madison Museum of Fine Art joins a long heritage of education and culture in the Southeast United States. In the 19th century, Madison won fame as the "most cultured town on the stage-coach route between Charleston and New Orleans." And during the American Civil War, General Sherman spared the town to preserve its unrivaled beauty.

Awarded "best small town in America" by Travel Holiday Magazine, Madison continues to win hearts and smiles from around the world as a quintessential tourist destination where visitors take horse-drawn carriages past historic sites and fine antebellum Georgia residences. Madison's authentic Southern architecture, delightful restaurants, abundant shopping, and good old fashioned Southern charm provide the perfect setting for taking .......

....... "a sublime walk into the history of art and beauty" at the Madison Museum of Fine Art.
